Common questions, direct answers
Is DARAQA a government body or part of Civil Defense?
No. DARAQA is a private brand. Licences and approvals are issued solely by the competent authorities.
How long does a quotation take?
It depends on how complete the data is and whether a site visit is needed. We contact you after receiving your request to confirm details and timing.
Is the site visit free?
It depends on the service, location and size of the facility. We confirm this before booking.
What information do I need before contacting you?
Activity type, approximate area, city and the facility's current status. Drawings and photos help, but aren't required to start.
What is the difference between conventional and addressable systems?
A conventional system tells you which zone raised the alarm; an addressable system identifies the exact device. Conventional suits many small sites; addressable is usually preferred for larger or multi-storey buildings. The final choice depends on the applicable requirements and the size of the facility.
Can an existing system be upgraded instead of replaced?
Often, yes — depending on the system's age, device compatibility and spare-part availability. We confirm after a site visit and show you both options with their costs.
Does every facility need automatic sprinklers?
No. It depends on activity, area, height and occupancy classification under the Saudi Fire Code and Civil Defense requirements. We confirm what applies after reviewing your facility's details.
What are clean-agent systems?
Gaseous systems that leave no residue, typically used where water would cause damage — server rooms, archives. Selecting one requires calculating the room volume and confirming it can be sealed.
Is your report an official conformity certificate?
No. Our technical report is an internal reference that helps you understand the situation and plan works. Conformity certificates are issued by the bodies and offices licensed to do so.
How often should systems be inspected?
Frequency depends on the system type and the requirements that apply to your facility. We propose a visit schedule after the inventory and explain the basis for each frequency.
Do you maintain systems installed by another company?
Usually, yes — after inspecting the system and confirming spare parts are available and compatible. Any gaps are reported before the contract starts.
Do you guarantee the safety licence?
No. Issuing the licence is the General Directorate of Civil Defense's decision. What we commit to is a careful readiness review, closing the gaps within our scope, and being clear about what remains.
Who submits the application on Salamah?
The facility owner, or their authorised representative, from the facility's own account. We explain the steps and documents, and never ask for your login details.
How do I check that a safety company is approved?
The Salamah portal publishes the list of safety companies approved by Civil Defense. You are welcome to verify our details there before contracting.
Do you issue the commercial licence?
No. The licence is issued through Balady and the safety permit by Civil Defense. We help with the related technical preparation, equipment and documents.
Why are there no prices on the website?
Specifications, quantities and brands differ for every request, so we prefer an accurate quotation to indicative prices.
